about

Hello! I am so glad that you are here!

I am Yvonne: Artist, Creator, Maker behind yvonne nangle art creations

The spontaneous and whimsical nature of doodles inspires my work as a self-taught artist in a family of professionals. My creative journey is a unique blend of inherited inspiration and personal exploration, shaped by a deep connection to the world of art. Growing up surrounded by vibrant colors and diverse artistic expressions, I developed an innate passion for creating.

As a contemporary abstract artist, I specialize in creating bold, colorful collage paintings using rice paper, deli paper, and acrylic paint on gallery-depth canvases and wood panels. My mixed media art involves creating custom papers with brushes, stencils, drips, splatters, and Gelli plate prints, bringing spontaneity and a sense of freedom to each piece.

My latest collection, original abstract floral paintings, is a joyful celebration of color and form. These vibrant, free-flowing compositions combine painted paper collage and acrylic paint to deliver a 'jolt of joy' to viewers, making them a striking and beautiful addition to any home decor. My art is characterized by its simplicity and emphasis on bold, uplifting colors, often evoking feelings of happiness and positive emotions.

Whimsical doodle art is at the heart of my creative process, lending an air of spontaneity and joy to every piece. I find immense joy in creating my art and aim to share that joy with each viewer. It's incredibly rewarding to know my work can brighten someone's day and add a splash of color and joy to their home or office space. Many have described my paintings as "happy art," which I believe is the highest compliment my work can receive.

If you're looking to buy original abstract art that inspires happiness and positivity, explore my collection today to find the perfect piece for your space.

Artistic Style: My art is characterized by its simplicity and an emphasis on bold, uplifting colors. Doodling is at the heart of my creative process, and it lends an air of whimsy and spontaneity to each piece.

Artistic Influences: My family's artistic background and their passion for self-expression have profoundly influenced my creative journey. My artistic journey has also been influenced by the works of modern abstract artists, including Wassily Kandinsky, and Henri Matisse and the graphic collage style of Eric Carle

Viewer Reactions: Frequently, viewers of my art say that it evokes happiness and positive emotions. It is very rewarding to create work that inspires a joyful response. Think of how a bouquet of flowers adds a splash of colour and joy in your home and imagine a bright bouquet (that never wilts!), on your wall.
